Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using sagelivings.com (the “Site”) or any Sage services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses the Site.
2. What Sage Is (and Is Not)
Sage is a discovery and matching platform. We help families find and connect with senior living communities. We are not a care provider, care agency, or senior living operator.
Sage is not responsible for:
- The quality, licensing, certification, or regulation compliance of any listed community
- The accuracy of information submitted by facility providers
- Any care decisions, outcomes, or experiences resulting from connecting with a community through Sage
- Disputes between users and facility providers
3. User Accounts
To access certain features (saving favorites, submitting reviews), you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your password confidential and not share your account with others
- Notify us immediately at info@sagelivings.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
4. Tour Requests and Lead Sharing
When you submit a tour request through Sage, you are providing express written consent to be contacted by the specific senior living community you selected (via phone, email, or text message) for the purpose of scheduling and discussing your tour.
Sage will forward your tour request information to that community. We are not responsible for:
- Whether or how quickly the community responds to your request
- The content of any communications from the community
- Any commitments or representations made by the community
Submitting a tour request is free (account required). There is no obligation to tour or to choose any community.
5. Provider Billing & Refunds
Paid provider plans (monthly or annual) are billed through Stripe. By starting a paid plan, you authorize Sage to charge your payment method on the billing interval you select.
Monthly plans: You may cancel at any time from your profile. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will retain access until that date. Monthly payments are non-refundablefor the billing period in which cancellation occurs.
Annual plans: Annual plans are paid upfront for 12 months. If you cancel during the annual term, your listing will remain active through the paid-through date. Annual plans are eligible for a pro-rated refund of the unused months if you request cancellation in writing to info@sagelivings.com. The discount applied at purchase (e.g., 2 months free) is forfeited, and the refund is calculated at the equivalent monthly rate for used months.
60-day free trial: Founding members receive 60 days of free access. You will not be charged during the trial. If no payment method is added before the trial ends, your paid features will pause and your listing will remain on the free tier.
Failed payments: If a payment fails, we will retry up to three times over 14 days. If all retries fail, your paid features will pause until a payment method is updated.
Disputed charges: Contact info@sagelivings.com before initiating a chargeback. We will respond within 2 business days and work with you to resolve the issue.
6. Account Deletion & Data Handling
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. When you delete your account:
- Your login credentials, profile, saved favorites, and group memberships are permanently deleted.
- Reviews you submitted are anonymized — your name and identity are removed, but the review text and rating remain visible to preserve community transparency.
- Tour requests you submitted are disassociated from your identity.
- Facility listings you own are soft-deleted (hidden from the platform) and permanently purged after 90 days.
If you require immediate and complete removal of all data, including anonymized content, you may submit a request to info@sagelivings.com with the subject line “Full Data Deletion Request.”

7. Reviews and User Content
By submitting a review, you represent that the review reflects your honest, first-hand experience. You grant Sage a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute your review on the Site.
Sage reserves the right to remove reviews that we determine, in our sole discretion, are fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise violate these Terms.
8. Provider Listings
Senior living communities listed on Sage are responsible for the accuracy of their own listing information, including pricing, care types, amenities, and availability. Sage does not independently verify all information submitted by providers. Always confirm details directly with a community before making any decisions.
9. AI Advisor Disclaimer
Sage includes an AI-powered advisor feature that provides general information about senior care types, costs, and questions to ask during tours. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI responses are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical, legal, financial, or professional advice
- AI-generated cost estimates are approximations based on general market data and are not binding quotes from any facility
- AI systems may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information; always verify information directly with the community
- Sage is not liable for any decisions made in reliance on AI-generated content
10. Pricing Estimates
Prices displayed on Sage are estimates provided by facility operators and represent typical starting rates. Actual costs may differ based on:
- Individual level of care assessments conducted by the facility
- Room type, floor plan, and availability at time of move-in
- Additional services, care packages, or medication management
- Annual rate adjustments by the facility
Always request a written pricing agreement directly from the facility before making any commitment.
11. “Verified” and Licensing Disclaimer
When Sage describes a community as “verified” or “state-licensed,” this means only that Sage has checked for an active state operating license at the time of listing. It does not mean that Sage has:
- Conducted an on-site inspection or audit
- Reviewed staffing ratios, citation history, or care outcomes
- Endorsed or certified the quality of care provided
- Confirmed that licensing remains active or in good standing at the time you visit
12. No Medical, Legal, or Financial Advice
Nothing on the Sage platform constitutes medical, legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind. The information provided is for general informational purposes only. You should consult qualified professionals before making any senior care decisions.
13. No Endorsement
The appearance of a senior living community on Sage does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or certification by Sage.
14. Intellectual Property
All content on the Sage platform is owned by Sage or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. User-submitted content remains owned by you, but you grant Sage the license described in Section 6.
15. Section 230: Third-Party Content
Sage is an interactive computer service under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. Sage is not the publisher or speaker of user-submitted content. Facility operators who believe a review violates applicable law may contact us at info@sagelivings.com.
16. Fair Housing
Sage is committed to equal housing opportunity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, or any other characteristic protected by the Fair Housing Act or applicable law.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. In no event shall Sage’s total liability exceed the amount you paid to Sage in the 12 months preceding the claim.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice by email or by posting a notice on the Site.
